钻速是衡量掘进机工作性能的关键参数之一。采用DOE建模技术，以钻速作为目标变量，以刀盘扭矩、千斤顶推力、刀盘转速、螺旋机转速等主控参数作为设计变量建立二次回归函数，得出钻速的预测函数。通过拟合判定系数、修正判定系数和均方根差对回归函数的误差进行判定，研究不同的样本数据采点方法对拟合精度的影响。构建优化数学模型，采用二次规划算法求解不同样本数目下的极值，有效地实现了掘进性能的提升。
